The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “What The Kobe?” is Back

As the basketball world continues to honor the legacy of Kobe Bryant, Nike is set to reintroduce one of his most iconic sneakers: the Nike Kobe 8 Protro "What The Kobe?" This vibrant and eclectic colorway, originally released in December 2013, is making a highly anticipated comeback later this month.

The "What The" series by Nike is renowned for its bold fusion of various colorways and design elements from previous models, creating a unique and eye-catching aesthetic. The Nike Kobe 8 Protro "What The Kobe?" exemplifies this approach by incorporating nearly 30 different color schemes from earlier Kobe 8 releases. This results in a mismatched yet harmonious design that captures the essence of Kobe's dynamic presence on the court.

One of the standout features of this sneaker is its asymmetrical design. The right shoe boasts an “Electric Orange” base complemented by a striking “Volt” Swoosh, while the left shoe features a “Deep Night” base with an “Electric Orange” Swoosh.

Adding to its distinctive look, the medial side panel showcases oversized 3M reflective "NIKE" branding, ensuring visibility and style both on and off the court. The semi-translucent outsoles further enhance the sneaker's unique appeal, making it a must-have for collectors and basketball enthusiasts alike.

Mark your calendars – the Nike Kobe 8 Protro "What The Kobe?" will be available for purchase on Sunday, April 13th, in select DTLR locations in men’s and grade-school sizes.
