Set To Drop: Air Jordan Retro 3 "Denim"

A new spin on the classic elephant pattern.
The Jordan 3 is certainly one of the most sought after designs in the Jordan sneaker franchise. It’s simple and clean design make for both a great on-court sneaker as well as a casual pair of lifestyle kicks. Fun fact: The Jordan 3 is the shoe that cemented Michael’s love for Nike and his sneaker line as it was the first Jordan designed by the famous Tinker Hatfield.
Behind The Design
The Denim 3’s feature white tumbled leather for most of the shoe with subtle hits of red for the lower eyelets, tongue lining, and perforated heel collars. Also featured in red is the tongue’s Jumpman logo along with the classic Nike Air logo on the heel which should make Jordan Brand purest extremely happy except if you look closely, there’s a transparent Jumpman logo on top of the Nike Air branding.
Personally, this is a subtle detail that I don’t mind at all since it’s not an OG classic colorway. The midsoles are mostly White with the exception of the heel supports in Black rubber. Other than the heel support, Black is used only for the sock liner and top eyelet. Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room, the denim elephant print. I was skeptical when I first heard about this concept but Jordan Brand has done a marvelous job in pulling it off. The stitched denim is practically identical to the original print which gives the shoe a nod to the OG era but with a twist. I’m on board.
