Mia Colors a World of Opportunity
Published:November 14, 2024
At 25, Mia Williams may be a fresh face in the corporate world, but that didn’t stop the ambitious millennial from stepping up as a leader. As the founder of The Colors of Her Success, Mia assists young women in their early-stage careers. With a focus on supporting women of color, her coaching platform and networking club are safe spaces for professional development, and her members thrive from the insight, connections, and community it provides– resources Mia did not have at the start of her career.
3 years ago, Mia was excited to start a new life as a corporate professional. Optimistic about the journey ahead, she was eager to learn the ropes, but would soon realize her access to Black female mentors was extremely limited. Recognizing mentorship as a vital component for her achievement, Mia sought to build a bridge. Through her platform, The Colors of Her Success, she would connect young women entering corporate spaces with professional women who were experienced in navigating them.
Inspired by powerful female role models throughout her life, Mia is intentional about contributing to the success of women of color. The Prince George’s County, Maryland native who now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, says she believes being surrounded by influential Black women helped to shape her ambition and outlook on life. Now, she’s committed to cultivating a community where other women like her have an opportunity to advance their careers and make their marks on the world.
