Meet the New Nike C1TY "Safety Cone"

It’s not every day that Nike comes out with a brand-new model – so when it does happen, it’s a pretty big deal. Despite the brand’s prolific release schedule, most drops are just updated versions of tried-and-true Nike silhouettes. That’s not the case with the new Nike C1TY, which is set to hit shelves later this month.

The Nike C1TY may look familiar at first glance. The silhouette is clearly influenced by popular models like the Field General, NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe, and Killshot 2. But unlike the aforementioned sneakers, the C1TY is built for the modern streets.

The sneaker boasts a soft suede upper for support and insulation, while mesh underlays provide breathability to the toeboxes and ankle collar panels. Contrasting leather Swoosh overlays take up prime real estate on the lateral and medial sides, giving this brand-new model that classic Nike feel.

Down below, the shoe boasts foam midsole units for all-day cushion on the city streets. The midsoles are fused to hearty rubber outsole units with thick lugs that make it appear as more of a hiker than anything casual.

Will you be looking to try a pair out for yourself? The Nike C1TY will be available on Thursday, September 19th, in-store at select DTLR locations for a retail price of $100.
