One Step at a Time: How DTLR and Nike Came Together to #GiveNike This Holiday Season

The holidays are a time for giving — and this past season, DTLR proudly teamed up with Nike to do exactly that. Through our #GiveNike initiative, we set out to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students across the country. And what started as a sneaker drop turned into so much more.

This wasn’t just about shoes — it was about showing up for the communities that continue to show up for us.

Kicks with a Cause

Thousands of brand-new Nike sneakers made their way into the hands of students in Chicago, Virginia, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Philadelphia — cities filled with vibrant youth, rich culture, and endless potential. For many of these kids, a fresh pair of kicks meant more than style. It meant walking into the classroom with confidence, standing tall among peers, and feeling seen.

At each school and organization we visited, the energy was electric. Smiles lit up hallways. Students proudly laced up their new kicks. Teachers, staff, and families joined in on the celebration. It wasn’t just a gift — it was a reminder that someone cares.
