Electric Green Hits The Nike Waffle One

Bill Bowerman used his wife’s waffle maker to make the first-ever pair of Nike shoes. Technically, the company was at that point called Blue Ribbon Sports, but we won’t worry too much about the small details. The Nike Waffle, with its unique tread pattern, blazed the path for runners to increase their speed with better track traction. Now, 50 some odd years later, the Waffle is back with 2021 technology.

The next Waffle One to hit shelves boasts an all-over Electric Green colorway with Black and Mean Green accents. The toe features durable suede that then extends into breathable mesh around the actual toebox and down the sides giving the sneaker that iconic Waffle look. Underneath the mesh, you’ll find several small swooshes atop a Mean Green and Electric Green design. Wrapping around the back of the shoe is the reinforced durable plastic heel cup in Mean Green which adds a futuristic but stylish look to the Waffle One. The pair sits atop a clean white midsole to help balance out the uppers. To finish off the look, a prominent Black Swoosh is used down both sides of the sneaker.
