Arriving Soon: Air Jordan 12 Retro “Black Taxi”

Jordan Brand’s retro-release output in 2022 has been prolific thus far. Recently, the sportswear behemoth unleashed the vintage-inspired Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago,” Air Jordan 6 Retro “Metallic Silver,” and “Midnight Navy” Air Jordan 11 Retro. And this December, a new transportation-themed take on the Air Jordan 12 is set to land.

Dubbed “Black Taxi,” this upcoming colorway dons a black nubuck upper and features textured leather mudguards. The tongues, laces, and back tabs are also done in black, adding to the brooding look. From there, titular “Taxi”-yellow hits brighten the leather “Jumpman” tabs on the lateral sides, uppermost eyestays, tongue embroidery, and Jordan-branded heel tabs.

The two-toned look is bolstered by black foam midsoles, which encase the sneaker’s signature carbon fiber shank. The cabbie-approved colorway is complete with black rubber outsole units.
