Brand Jordan has been the benchmark for some time, with innovative designs and groundbreaking technology. The Air Jordan Retro 11 changed the game with its unique shoelace unit, patent leather, and a translucent sole. With such critical acclaim across the board for the silhouette, Brand Jordan released an ‘11 Low IE’ version that is truly eye-catching.
Typically, Brand Jordan (along with other sneaker companies) had a set system in place to maximize one particular silhouette. Companies have always taken a high top debut, and then put out mid-top/low top versions of the original. The AJ 11 silhouette went through a noticeable makeover to further extend the shoe performance and look. Since the ‘Low IE’ is set for a Summer release, fabrics were swapped which made the shoe suitable to wear in warm conditions.
Behind The Design
If you’re an MJ fanatic like most sneakerheads, this colorway may look a little familiar. The silhouette embraces the notoriously bold ‘Black Cement 3’s’ hue that has paved the way (pun intended). Durable black leather graces the upper, with the shoelaces, eyestay, and single stitch the following suit. Throughout the upper lies Black mesh place on the tongue, vamp, and perforation vents for needed breathability. Patent leather was stripped and replace with wrinkled elephant print overlay from the toe tip to heel. Immediately underneath is a white outsole similar to the original design. The iconic translucent sole makes an appearance with black tractions ridges and a padded Jumpman logo. Grey and red accents are featured on the tongue, collar, collar lining, and heel counter. This newly designed classic silhouette is ready to set the streets on fire.
