The Exclusive Adidas Forum - Baltimore Boys

In the heart of Baltimore lies a Charm City that has hidden gems that shine when allowed to shine. Notorious for its distinctly colorful neighborhoods and abstract art scene, this city is built off of humble beginnings in pursuit of happy endings. Having once been the home of one of the largest populations for African Americans, black excellence was achieved through overcoming daily obstacles. Nevertheless, there’s an abundance of history and culture that’s deeply rooted. Like roses that grew from concrete, they find a way to still grow despite having resources to become successful in life. Even though this diversity is miraculous, to say the least, Baltimore’s rich culture in basketball for example has been unspoken……until now.
Its resilient residents' hands down have birthed some of the most talented hoopers that have modeled some NBA greats. Before showcasing their skills on a professional level, it started locally in Baltimore. For example, the Dunbar High School boys basketball team went undefeated 1981 - 1983 for back-to-back seasons. With a record-shattering 60 games won over 2 seasons, the team from Charm City made history that hasn’t been broken since. To commemorate what these great players have offered to the league and city alike, Adidas The Forum is inspired by the Baltimore Boys.
The high-top upper is shimmering with a golden leather finish suited for a champion. Maroon accents are added for ideal contrast to balance out the golden color scheme while paying homage to the undefeated high school team. To keep your ankles secure, there’s a removable strap with the Adidas imprint in front and ‘Baltimore boys’ stamped inside. Showing love to the city, area code 410 is prominently placed on the vamp. Classic double stitching is kept to go along with its iconic 3 striped quarter and alternate logo respectively. The midsole is pristine white with vertical netting inside, while the outsole follows suit in maroon. Last but not least, a bold ‘B’ in white with maroon trim on the heel notch makes it clear that Baltimore is the influence and inspiration for this historic colorway. Only 600 made!
